Why marry???

I have read this article on BBCwebsite which is related to my research subject.
some vocabulary which I have learnt from it are :

COHABITING: if two people are cohabiting,they are living together and have a sexual relationship,but are not married
UNCONSCIOUS: someone who is unconscious is in a state similar to sleep,usually as the result of a serious injury or a lack of oxygen syn=senseless
POP UP: if someone or something pops up,they appear in a place or situation unexpectedly.
